2002 Programs

All programs (unless otherwise noted) are held in the Family History Discovery Shoppe classroom in the SLC Downtown Crossroads Mall on the 2nd Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m. People are welcome to bring their lunch and dine while the meeting is in progress.  The public is welcome.

September 13, 2002 - Preston Owens, ATCG: Are Ancestry Answers in the Genes? Synopsis:  Two case studies will be discussed: one showing Y-chromosome DNA test results concluded "there is now a substantial preponderance of evidence" for determining the correct ancestor; and the other covering the problems encountered trying to verify whether a colonial New England ancestress was a Native American using mt-DNA.

December 13, 2002 - Potluck lunch and social, come and enjoy "swapping" stories. Let one of the officers know if you are planning on coming and what you might bring, so we will have a variety.
